Bubba is a handsome 4-year-old Lab mix looking for a fresh start after life took an unexpected turn. Two years ago, his beloved owner suffered a stroke and has unfortunately been unable to provide the care and consistency Bubba needs.

Despite the changes he's experienced, Bubba remains a happy, affectionate boy who loves his people. Before his owner's stroke, he had started professional training and was making great progress. Unfortunately, without continued structure and guidance, he has regressed. With patience, consistency, and continued training, Bubba has every opportunity to thrive.

Bubba can be anxious in new or overwhelming situations and lacks confidence, which has led to fear-based reactivity. He has given warning nips when he feels uncomfortable, so it's important that his future family understands his needs and is committed to helping him build confidence through positive reinforcement.

He currently lives with an 11-year-old child and absolutely adores him. Bubba would do best in a home with older children who can respect his boundaries. While he has gotten along with some dogs, we believe he would be happiest as the only pet where he can receive all the love, attention, and stability he deserves.

Bubba is looking for a patient, understanding family willing to invest in his continued training and give him the secure, loving home he's been missing. In return, you'll gain a loyal companion with so much love to give.
