Pippa - Labrador Retriever and Border Collie Dog for Adoption in Eureka, California

Sweet Pippa was found with another lovely dog Patsy a few months ago. They have been gracious guests at our adoption center since then but are very ready to find their loving, stable homes.
Pippa is likely a border collie/McNab shepherd/lab mix. She is a very smart dog, motivated to learn by her intelligence and eagerness for treats! She absolutely loves the water and swimming. She is a playful girl who enjoys walks, adventures and toys. Pippa walks well on or off a lead and her voice recall is improving. She bonds well to her caregivers. She is learning to redirect her puppy energy to not jump on people. She will thrive in a home that will help guide her with clear, consistent boundaries and opportunities for lots of exercise and stimulation. Pippa would be a perfect hiking or running partner. She tends to be quiet; she mostly just barks when she feels the need to alert to a new situation or people.
Pippa does well with other dogs and after an initial introduction loves new people. She is a bit submissive with her buddy Patsy. Pippa would really enjoy another dog in her new home for companionship and playtime. Pippa has been quite interested in the cats at our adoption center so a family with no cats would probably be best for her.
Pippa is over a year old, weighs around 45 pounds, is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and will be microchipped before going to her new home. The minimum donation for her adoption is $200.
If you would like to meet Pippa or her pal Patsy, please contact Companion Animal Foundation at 707-296-4629 or come to 3954 Jacobs Ave., just north of Eureka, Wednesday through Friday noon to 4 or Saturday 11 to 3.
