Fauna is an almost 6-month-old, just under 30-pound Lab mix with a big personality, endless enthusiasm, and absolutely no respect for personal space. This little firecracker believes life is meant to be lived at full speed, preferably with a toy in her mouth!
And speaking of toys, Fauna LOVES them. Stuffed toys, squeaky toys, chew toys, you name it. She's rarely seen without one, and when she's not busy playing, she's probably running around the yard like she's training for the Puppy Olympics.
Fauna is also an expert cuddler, although she hasn't quite figured out the difference between next to you and on top of you. Why sit beside her favorite human when she can climb directly into their lap? At just under 30 pounds and growing, she's convinced she's a lap dog, and she's not interested in hearing otherwise.
Originally rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas, Fauna spent several months with a loving foster family in Texas before taking her two day journey to Michigan.
She's experienced life with dogs, cats, and children, and she's currently living with two dogs and three kids under 12. She's a friendly, social girl who loves being part of the action- she LOVES humans.
Fauna is spayed, fully vetted, and microchipped. She knows how to sit and is making great progress with potty training. Like any puppy, she's still learning her manners and will benefit from a family willing to continue her training.
Her ideal forever home? An active family with a fully fenced yard where she can run, play, and burn off that impressive puppy energy. She has plenty of love to give, but she's not exactly a couch potato. Well, unless the couch involves climbing directly onto you.
Fauna has already traveled a long way to find her happily ever after. Now she just needs a family who will embrace her goofy personality, match her enthusiasm for life, and appreciate a dog who believes personal space is wildly overrated.
