Shelbia is a happy and playful girl. She loves everyone she meets and good with dogs of all sizes. Shelbia has a rough start in life. However, it doesnt stop her from loving and trusting humans. She can be a little shy at first. Shelbia warms up quickly and is such a lovely dog. She is doing well in her foster home and ready for a forever home. Shelbia started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. She is crate-trained and doing well on her house training. Shelbia loves her trips to the doggie park and absolutely enjoys hiking in the woods. Shelbia is a wonderful dog and will make a good family dog.

Shelbias Rescue Story

Shelbia was abandoned in the mountain. She must have been starving for a very long time because she was all bones when she was rescued. She was caught by a volunteer of a TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) rescue group. TNR rescue groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the animals are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs. TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals. The volunteer caring for her loves her and didnt want to see her back on the streets. The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to save her and some other puppies that are still too young to be released back to the streets. The founder of the rescue organization has over 160 dogs waiting for homes. She really does not have space for another dog. However, she could not bear to see them suffering on the streets. She agreed to take them home and give them a chance in life. Shelbia along with her 40 other buddies were all rescued and living together waiting for their own forever homes.

Shelbia had a thorough medical checkup. She had been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests. Please give Shelbia a loving home where she will never be left behind again.
