This handsome five-month-old black Lab puppy was rescued after being abandoned in a field near a truck stop, where he spent days trying to survive on his own. Unsure whether the people searching for him were there to help or hurt him, he kept his distance until he finally realized the crazy people standing in the rain with treats were there to save him.

Once he was safely caught, Diego was whisked away to a wonderful animal hospital, where he finally got the care, quiet, and rest he desperately needed.

Everything he's been through has left him just a little reserved at first, but he warms up quickly and has an incredibly gentle, loving personality. His perfect home is one with someone willing to give him a little patience as his confidence continues to blossom.
