Nyla - Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd Dog Dog for Adoption in Benld, Illinois

Nyla is a beautiful Black Lab/German Shepherd mix born in December 2025. Through no fault of her own, this sweet girl was surrendered to the shelter in hopes of finding the forever home she deserves. Nyla is a big puppy with a big future ahead of her! She is looking for a family who understands that puppies need patience, consistency, training, and plenty of love. Her new family should be ready to help her learn basic obedience, establish a good potty routine, and practice calm, polite leash walking. In return, you'll have the opportunity to watch Nyla grow into an amazing adult companion. A fenced yard is preferred but not required, as long as her family is committed to providing her with appropriate exercise, enrichment, and training. With proper introductions, Nyla could live in a home with other dogs and children. We are unsure how she would do with cats, so a cat-free home may be the best option unless introductions can be carefully managed. Nyla may need some guidance as she learns the ropes, but she's worth the effort! If you're ready for the fun, responsibility, and rewards that come with raising a big puppy, Nyla could be the girl you've been waiting for. Nyla is spayed, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped, de-wormed, and negative for FIV/FelV.

Note: To adopt, you must live within approximately 100 miles of one of our adoption sites (Benld or Springfield IL), and be at leat 18 years of age.
