Meet Tori, a 6-7-month-old Lab mix, weighing 32 pounds (as of 4/13/26). Tori was a stray who was saved from a Memphis, Tennessee shelter and is so excited to meet you! See how happy she is?!

If you're looking for a dog that can levitate furniture with her mind, fly or has super human strength, then Tori is the girl for you! Just kidding. She can't do any of those things. But she IS a smarty pants who seeks and loves attention, loves playing with other dogs, and goes wide open when she does. She's only met kids on walks and has done well since she's so friendly. She hopes to meet more of them! So if you have happen to have a house full of screaming children, all the merrier! Tori tends to chase cats out of excitement, so a cat free home would probably be ideal. No offense kitties!

Tori is a playful girl who'll thrive with an active family/person that ideally has a fenced yard she can play in. Bonus points if you also have another dog in the family or have access to your neighbor's dog since she would love a canine sibling or bestie to play with! Sadly, you dressing up as Scooby Doo for Halloween doesn't count.

This sweetie is working on not pulling on her leash (she gets too excited!) and is fine in a crate (she actually eats in hers). Tori learned "sit" really fast and can't wait to learn more commands so keep 'em coming! She's still working on being housebroken but has been doing better. Tori asks for your patience as she masters yet another skill, but she knows she'll get it down!

Medical Disclosure: Poor Tori had hair missing on her back when the foster got her. We figured flea allergy dermatitis and the vet said her skin was also dry so the vet prescribed a topical vitamin (mostly vitamin E) to help. We're happy to report her skin and fur look great now, but it might not hurt to supplement her
food with salmon oil or another similar supplement. Gotta keep this girl's beautiful coat shiny and healthy!

Adopt this beauty today! Tori is waiting for you!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
