Labrador Retriever and Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption in Mishawaka, Indiana

Bambi is a Lab/Terrier mix who came to the shelter with her 3 puppies (Thumper (adopted), Flower (still available) and Faline (still available)). She is very loving and full of energy and she was a great mama. She needs time to learn paws down and how to show her excitement with manners. She is still quite young, under 2 years old. When she came to us she was very high energy; she is now spayed and the puppies are weaned....we think this will mellow her out a bit. She does love to run and jump and play. She will need an active family who can give her time to get her energy out. A fenced in yard is very important. Bambi has managed to push some fencing aside in order to explore her environment. If she is kenneled during the day, we will recommend a specific type of kennel for her to make sure she can't escape and does not hurt herself.
