Labrador Retriever and Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption in Fairfield, Connecticut

Typical Texas story… an abandoned dog roams the streets of San Juan, Texas, trying her best to survive. She is pregnant, starving, and in horrible condition with patches of missing fur, bloody sores, and dry, crusty skin, thick like armor from severe dermatitis. Thankfully, a kindly man who is trying his best to help the stray dogs in his town, takes her to the vet and spends many months helping her heal, getting her healthy, and providing a warm and loving home for her to deliver two beautiful puppies. He names them Bella and Scooby and has enlisted the help of 4 Little Paws Rescue. Both pups have just been adopted, so now it's time to meet their mama, Sky. A pretty 5-year-old, 59 lb charcoal gray Lab/Terrier mix, healthy, happy, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and finally ready for a second chance at a wonderful life!

Sky is a very friendly lady with a medium-low energy level. Patient and kind, just like she was with her puppies, she has a heart of gold and a gentle energy. She is great with other dogs and enjoys playtime, dog toys, and tug-o-war. She is affectionate and kissy, obedient, and grateful for attention and kindness. She is housebroken and rarely barks. She does not guard her food or toys and doesn't freak out when left alone. She loves going for walks and is always excited to go for a ride in the car. She is good in a crate, sleeps in the laundry room, and stays there when home alone.

Sky’s coat is fully healed and grown back soft and smooth, including a small fold of skin left behind across the top of her tail.
