Dixie – 6-Month-Old Labrador Shepherd Mix

Dixie is a beautiful 6-month-old Labrador Shepherd mix with a gentle soul and a sweet, loving nature. She came into our care with her siblings after they were abandoned near a rural barn. Understandably frightened when they first arrived, Dixie has made wonderful progress and continues to gain confidence every day.

Of the litter, Dixie is a little more reserved than her siblings and prefers to take her time getting to know new people and situations. Once she feels comfortable, her affectionate and gentle personality shines through. She is incredibly sweet and enjoys quiet companionship, making her a wonderful match for a patient family willing to let her settle in at her own pace.

Dixie is currently thriving in foster care on a country property, where she enjoys playing with her siblings and exploring her surroundings. Because she takes comfort from other dogs, she would do especially well in a home with a confident canine companion who can help show her the ropes and continue building her confidence.

She is healthy, playful, dewormed, vaccinated, and growing into a lovely young dog. Dixie will be spayed at the appropriate age as required by our adoption agreement.

Dixie may be a little shy at first, but beneath that gentle exterior is a loving companion waiting to form a deep bond with her forever family. For someone willing to give her a little time and patience, she will be a truly rewarding addition to the home.
