DESCRIPTION
Meet Grandpa Olaf! At 12 years young, Olaf is a big-hearted Lab/Newfoundland mix with an even bigger love for people. Weighing around 80 pounds (and currently working on his summer body!), this gentle senior is equal parts cuddle buddy and attention enthusiast. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily soak up every ounce of affection you give, and politely demand more, Olaf is your guy.
This sweet "grandpa" thrives on human connection. He'll whine or give you his surprisingly high-pitched bark to remind you that petting him is, in fact, your full-time job. Despite his size, he's a total softie who loves lounging outside just as much as snuggling up on the couch.
Olaf does have a few typical senior needs. He's on a weight management plan and takes glucosamine to support his joints, with possible arthritis care down the road. He also has a fatty mass that isn't currently causing issues. Regular grooming is important for his thick coat, he recently had some impacted fur, so brushing and bathing (not shaving) will keep him feeling his best.
His ideal home? A loving, patient home where someone is around often to keep him company and continue helping him settle in. He'd do great with someone who appreciates a slower pace, enjoys companionship, and doesn't mind a little extra "conversation."
After spending 9 years with his previous family, Olaf is ready to spend his golden years surrounded by love, comfort, and plenty of pets. If you've got room on your couch, and in your heart, for a sweet, slightly needy, utterly lovable senior, Grandpa Olaf is waiting for you.
