Cash is what some would describe as a soul dog, making his name after Johnny Cash quite fitting. He has very unique, mesmerizing blue eyes and will look straight at you as if he were a person—tilting his head like he’s trying to understand your thoughts and words without being able to speak. This gorgeous boy came from a neglect situation so affection is his love language and he thrives on it. He is 3.5 months old and the vet's best guess is he is a lab/husky mix and is weighing in around 16 pounds.

He is a tender boy who wants nothing more than to be by your side at all times. This makes him a world-champion snuggle companion; his favorite time of day is curling up next to you at bedtime, and he sleeps perfectly through the night. Cash is a typical puppy who loves toys, treats, chew bones, and playing with resident dogs of all sizes. He has been around children ages 5 and up and adores them! He is friendly with cats, though he does try to play with them, too!

Cash is making progress with potty and crate training. Although he’s not a fan of his crate, he calms down fairly quickly—he’d just prefer to go everywhere with you. He’s smart and treat-motivated, aims to please, and redirects well. Cash can be vocal on occasion, so apartment living is not recommended.

We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.
