Meet Gambit — The Family Dog Who Just Wants His Family Back!

Sometimes life changes, and through absolutely no fault of their own, wonderful dogs find themselves searching for a new beginning.

That's exactly what happened to Gambit.

This handsome, playful boy has known the love of a family, and now he's hoping to find another one to call his own.

Here's what makes Gambit special:

Loves children! Gambit has spent time with seven grandchildren and even tries to "herd" them back toward the porch when they're playing outside. Apparently, he has appointed himself the family supervisor!

Fetch fanatic! Running, playing fetch, and chewing on his favorite rope toys are his idea of a perfect day.

Storm chaser! While most dogs hide from thunder, Gambit wants a front-row seat on the porch! Thunder and lightning don't seem to bother this adventurous boy.

Dog friendly! He's enjoyed playing with a neighbor's dog, although his experience with other dogs has been limited.

A loyal watchdog! He'll let you know when someone unfamiliar arrives, but his family says he settles quickly with reassurance.

Neutered, vaccinated against rabies, and receiving heartworm prevention. His family reports no current health concerns.

Gambit previously struggled with crate anxiety as a younger pup, but his family reports he's since outgrown it. He's a fun-loving, energetic young dog who would thrive with a family ready to give him plenty of playtime, attention, and love.

Gambit isn't being returned because he did anything wrong. His family's medical circumstances have changed, and they can no longer provide the care he deserves.

He doesn't need someone to fix him.

He just needs someone to love him.
