(DOB 08/17/2026) Due to Seger's young age, he has not been neutered yet. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within a 1-hour drive time of Wake Forest NC).
Life is never boring with a puppy around! This little one is full of energy, curiosity, and playful puppy antics. Whether it's chasing toys, exploring new things, wrestling with a furry friend, or finding a cozy spot for a nap after a busy day, there's always something fun happening.
This special pup is deaf, but that doesn't make this puppy any less deserving of all the love, fun, and happiness a forever home has to offer. Deaf dogs can live wonderfully full lives, and with a little understanding, patience, and consistency, this little one will make an amazing companion. Learning to communicate through hand signals and visual cues will be part of the adventure!
This pup thrives on companionship and must have another young, playful, friendly dog in the home to help keep up with all that puppy energy. Having a canine buddy to play with, learn from, and grow alongside is an important part of this little one's happiness and development.
A home with older, dog-savvy children is preferred. Because this puppy cannot hear someone approaching, family members need to understand the importance of never startling a sleeping pup. Gently waking the puppy with a soft touch or visual cue, rather than suddenly reaching down, will help everyone feel safe and comfortable.
Like any young pup, there's still lots to learn! House training and leash walking are works in progress, so patience, consistency, and plenty of positive encouragement will go a long way.
A playful canine companion, a loving family, and plenty of opportunities to explore, learn, and grow are just what this little one needs. Being deaf doesn't mean this puppy has any less love to give or joy to share. This is still a happy, playful, affectionate puppy with a whole lifetime of love ahead.
All this little one needs is someone willing to see past what's different and fall in love with everything that makes this puppy special.
As part of Seger's $325 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered. If you have questions about this sweet boy, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Seger, you can complete an application online for his under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org.
