Prissy is an 8 to 10-year-old Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle mix (our best guess!) weighing about 28 pounds. Don't let her age fool you—this sweet girl still has plenty of pep in her step and so much love to give.

Prissy is the definition of a Velcro dog. She wants to be wherever her people are, whether you're relaxing on the couch, working around the house, or heading into the kitchen for a snack. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily stick by your side, Prissy is your girl.

She's affectionate, friendly, and loves being part of the family. Because she forms such strong bonds, she isn't a fan of being left alone or kenneled and will let you know she'd much rather be with you. Her foster describes her as a bit vocal, making her a great little conversation partner!

Prissy also has a curious hunting instinct. She enjoys chasing squirrels and birds in the yard and has even proudly delivered a backyard box turtle to her foster! Because of her prey drive, she would do best in a home without cats or other small animals.

Prissy is looking for someone who appreciates a devoted senior companion. She may have a few gray hairs, but her heart is full of love, and she's ready to spend her golden years making wonderful memories with her forever family.

Our dogs are fostered in Texas but available for adoption in the Northern States. We have transports that leave Texas monthly. Our out of state adoption fee is $600 per dog. This fee includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, a registered microchip, a negative heart worm test (if over 6 months old), health certificate, flea/tick monthly preventative and transport costs. The adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Face time, etc). The adoption application and fee would be finalized prior to transport.
