Penny - Jack Russell Terrier Dog for Adoption in Grafton, Ohio

Meet Penny — A Little Lady With a BIG Personality!

Penny is a beautiful 3.5-year-old, 24-pound Jack Russell Terrier mix with one of the most adorable faces you’ll ever see — half black and half white!

Penny was adopted from a local shelter and spent her first year in a home with a fenced yard where she could run, play, and burn off her puppy energy.

When her mom moved to a senior community, Penny’s lifestyle changed dramatically. With less room to run and more leash walking, her unspent energy eventually turned into leash reactivity.

Her family made the wonderful decision to get her professional training, and Penny ROCKED it! She worked hard, learned to manage her big feelings, and successfully returned home.

Sadly, circumstances changed again, and Penny’s mom can no longer care for her. Now this energetic little lady is looking for the forever family she deserves!

• Penny is FULL OF LIFE! She’s happy, playful, affectionate, and ready to join an active family who will include her in their adventures.
• Adventure buddy? YES! Walks, exploring, playing, and staying busy are right up her alley!
• A fenced yard would be ideal for Penny to zoom, sniff, play, and let that Jack Russell Terrier energy OUT!
• Good with other dogs! Penny enjoys having canine friends around.
• Good with kids! She’s ready to be part of a family who includes her in the fun.
• No cats, please! Penny needs a feline-free home.
• Crate trained and comfortable in her crate.
• Knows her basic commands and has worked with a professional trainer.
• Walks decently on leash and has come a long way with managing her reactivity.
• Penny has experienced more changes than any dog should have to endure. Through it all, she remains a happy, energetic, loving little lady who deserves a place to finally call home.
• She needs someone who sees her energy as a gift — someone willing to provide the exercise, adventure, structure, and love she needs to thrive.

Penny isn’t looking for a perfect family. She’s looking for HER family — one that will love all 24 pounds of her personality, goofy energy, beautiful half-and-half face, and enormous heart.

Penny is ready for her next chapter. Could you be the forever she’s been waiting for?
