Russel came to Furkids after being hit by a car. As a result of his injuries, one of his back legs had to be amputated, and one of his front legs required surgical repair. Despite everything he has been through, Russel is a super sweet dog who is ready to enjoy a safe, comfortable life with someone who will cherish him.

Jack Russell Terrier mixes are known for being intelligent, affectionate, energetic, and full of personality. They often enjoy spending time with their people and can be playful, loyal companions. Russel may have a little extra caution when meeting new people. Because of this, Furkids recommends an adult only home where he can take his time getting comfortable and build trust at his own pace.

As a tripod dog, Russel will need a safe and supportive environment. His forever home should have secure flooring, easy access to comfortable resting areas, and limited stairs or other obstacles. A securely fenced yard would allow him to enjoy outdoor time safely. With patience, care, and a little understanding, Russel can continue to thrive and be the wonderful companion he is meant to be.
