Meet Stella

If Stella could talk, the stories she could tell.

She was found pregnant and missing a foot on one of her back legs. Despite everything she had been through, Stella safely delivered her adorable puppies in a loving foster home. One by one, her babies found wonderful families, and then it was finally Stella's turn to be cared for.

After giving birth, Stella underwent surgery to have her injured back leg amputated-and it turned out to be the best thing for her. Losing the painful leg didn't slow her down; it gave her a new lease on life. Today, this resilient 2-3-year-old girl is happier, more comfortable, and more mobile than ever.

Stella is incredibly affectionate and happiest when she's close to her person. If you're sitting down, she'll want to be touching you. She's potty trained, food motivated, and walks nicely on a harness.

The outside world is still a little overwhelming because so much of it is new to her. She needs a patient family who will help her build confidence at her own pace and show her that the world is full of kindness and adventure.

Stella doesn't need another dog in her life, as she's much more interested in spending time with her people than playing with other dogs. However, she doesn't mind sharing her person's attention with a canine sibling and coexists peacefully with other dogs.

Stella has overcome more than most dogs ever should, yet she continues to greet life with love and trust. Now all she needs is a family who will give her the happy ending she's been waiting for.
