Meet Baxter.

Adorable 3 yr old jack Russell terrier male. He can be a little grumpy at times and has a mind of his own.

Baxter loves to jump on your lap and give kisses but isn't a fan of being picked up. Has to be on his terms. He does play well with other dogs but won't share his person's lap.


Baxter has only had 1 owner - and his daddy was deployed so he entrusted us to find a new home for his sweet boy.

He is quite stunning - and pretty quiet unless he needs to go potty, he is very good at making that clear!

Baxter needs a home where he can learn that it is ok to let his guard down, a patient home, preferably with adults only - he is not sure about kids and they make him nervous.

Baxter walks well on leash and loves going for walks. He plays beautifully in the yard with the other dogs as long as a person's lap is not involved - cuz that is all his!!

Please consider being Baxter's fur-ever. He is such a sweet boy and deserves a home that will be kind and gentle with him and let him learn to trust that we won't lose his home again.
