JACOB (Rescues welcome) - Husky Dog for Adoption in Wyandotte, Michigan

Jacob is all personality! He loves to give kisses and is super playful.

He was found on the side of the interstate after he'd been hit by a car. The impact fractured his pelvis and tail. Unfortunately his tail had to be amputated to allow recovery.

Jake is what Husky people refer to as having a "true Husky" personality. Friendly and social, but with a super stubborn streak!

He'd be best suited in a home with prior Husky experience.

Jacob is estimated to be a few years old. Due to his injury, we're only now allowing brief interactions with other dogs, though we can say he's never been bothered seeing them while outside.

Canine adoption fee includes:
Spay/neuter
Age appropriate vaccinations
Deworming
Flea prevention (if required)
Heartworm screening/monthly prevention

** Volunteer dog walkers work with our dogs 7 days a week. What your adoption fee also includes is beginning housetraining, leash walking and a good understanding of the kind of home each dog would thrive in.

The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
