Zankey is the husky who didn't read the husky handbook.

This guy is too fun. And while he has some husky traits, running away and escaping like a boss ain't him!

Someone forgot to tell this handsome fella how huskies are supposed to behave!

Great recall?! Yes
Great on a leash?! Yes
Engaged with his person?! Yes
Great with other dogs?! Yes
Ridiculously adorable?! Obviously.

Sir. Please turn in your Husky membership card immediately.

But Zankey’s story before Prairie Song wasn’t nearly as funny.

He spent much of his life living on a chain alongside his bestie, Maisey. Eventually, he landed in a high-volume, rural shelter & this wonderful dog who had already spent far too much of his life without the things every dog deserves was running out of time.

Not on our watch, Zankey!

Zankey is safe now.

And we think he’s officially done with the crappy part of his story.

This sweet, social, goofy, surprisingly well-mannered gentleman is ready for his LUXURY ERA.

We’re talking soft beds. Adventures. Treats for absolutely no reason. Car rides. Walks. Friends. Maybe one of those unnecessarily expensive dog beds he'll ignore in favor of your couch.

And most importantly, a family of his very own.

Zankey has already done the hard years. Now we need someone to give him the ridiculously good ones.
