Calypso - Husky Dog for Adoption in Waynesville, North Carolina

Calypso is a 2-year-old, 35-pound Husky mix with a snowy white coat, striking blue eyes, and a personality that's just waiting to shine. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with a little patience and a few treats (especially cheese!), she quickly starts to come out of her shell. Before long, you'll see the confident little lady we know and love.

Once she's comfortable, Calypso is incredibly affectionate and loves soaking up attention from her people. She's dog friendly, crate trained, loves car rides, and is always happy to earn a tasty treat. With her medium to high energy level, she'd love an active home where she can join in on adventures before curling up for some well-earned affection.

Calypso hasn't been around cats, so we don't know how she'd do with feline friends. What we do know is that she's a beautiful, sweet girl who's worth taking the time to get to know.

The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive.
