Sometimes, the stars simply align. On a hot, sunny day, Lucky arrived at H.A.L.O. riding in the back of a pickup truck. We hadn't planned on taking in another dog that day, but there there was a need, and somehow, everything fell into place. And so, Lucky found her way to us.

Lucky is an approximately 3-year-old Husky who is housebroken, cuddly, and full of personality. She's perfectly happy to wander over, rest her head in your lap, and soak up some affection. She does have a little Husky sass and can become unsure if she feels a boundary has been crossed, so she simply needs someone who will listen to her cues and let trust grow naturally.

We think Lucky would be happiest with kids 12+ who can understand and respect her signals. She clearly has a sweet spot for little ones--she happily tolerated plenty of hugs from a young child during her surrender--but because she can become unsure when she feels a boundary has been crossed, older children who can give her a little space when she asks will be the best fit.

She did well meeting a playful puppy during her temperament test and may do well with the right canine companion and a home that can put in the extra work to integrate everyone at their own pace. Cats seem to make her a little nervous, though she showed little interest in chasing a calm one, so we think a home with a cat who "speaks dog" could also be a good match.

Lucky's story may have brought her to our door unexpectedly, but we have a feeling the next chapter is going to be her best one yet. All she needs is someone to turn her lucky break into a happily-ever-after. ❤️

Requirements: Martingale Collar; Children 12yrs+ (due to mouthiness/need for boundaries)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.
