DESCRIPTION
Meet Doug
If you're looking for a stereotypical husky who wants to escape, roam the neighborhood, and ignore you, Doug is not that dog.
After being found abandoned on the streets of Fresno, Doug seems to have developed a deep appreciation for having people of his own. His favorite place is wherever you are. Whether you're working, cooking, or settling in for a movie, Doug is happiest curled up nearby.
He's an affectionate, loyal boy who loves snuggles and following his people from room to room. While he does fine when left alone, he'd much rather be spending time with his family.
Doug is highly motivated by treats and tennis balls, making him eager to learn and fun to work with. He's kennel trained, sleeps quietly through the night, and will often put himself to bed. He's also trustworthy in the home and has shown no interest in bolting out the door—he'd rather stay close to his people.
One of Doug's best qualities is how well he does with cats. We have four cats, and Doug is all about play, not prey. He enjoys trying to engage them, but has shown no desire to chase or harm them. He's also not vocal and not reactive to humans or dogs.
Doug's highlights:
Affectionate, loyal, and people-focused
Loves treats and tennis balls
Kennel trained and sleeps through the night
Well-mannered in the house
Not an escape artist, not vocal
Cat-friendly — all about play, not prey
Professional movie-night snuggler
Doug has a huge heart and is looking for a family to call his own. If you want a husky who values companionship more than adventure, Doug may be your perfect match
