DESCRIPTION
Adopt Kooper!
Kooper is new to the shelter and was unfortunately surrendered. This handsome guy is 3 years old and about 65lbs. The previous owners informed AHS that Kooper gets along well with other dogs and has experience living with young kids, but we're still getting to know him here at the shelter.
Kooper appears to be a working breed husky/collie mix which are famous for their energy levels and exercise requirements.
The Collie is a graceful and intelligent dog known for their loyalty, gentle nature, and exceptional herding abilities. They come in two coat varieties, rough and smooth, with colors ranging from sable and white to blue merle. Collies excel in obedience training and thrive on mental stimulation and physical activity. Their keen intuition and strong bond with their owners make them wonderful family pets and reliable working dogs in tasks such as herding livestock or in search and rescue missions.
The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
