Salem D71411 - Husky and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Minnetonka, Minnesota

Hi, my name is Salem and I am from Oklahoma!

Salem is the best little pup. We've loved every minute of having him in our home. He's playful, curious, opinionated, smart, and so sweet and snuggly.

His favorite activity is playing in the backyard, chewing on sticks, sniffing around the neighborhood, chasing squirrels, discovering his cute lil husky howl, and buddying up with our resident 7-month-old puppy. They have been two peas in a pod. After lots of play time, Salem is ALWAYS ready to curl up for some puppy snuggles and loves a great lap or blanket to snooze on.

He's sleeping through the night (10pm-7am) like a pro, and rarely has accidents - it's usually his human's fault for not letting him out soon enough. Salem will be the most delightful addition to his forever home!

The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
