Meet Yukon

Yukon is a handsome 1-year-old Husky mix who has already been through more than any young dog should—but he hasn’t let it dampen his spirit!

Yukon was found at a park where he had been staying for a while alongside another dog. Sadly, we haven’t been able to locate his companion. While Yukon was trying to survive on his own, he was also hit by a car. Thankfully, we were able to get him the medical care he needed and brought him to our orthopedic specialist for evaluation.

The good news? Yukon is doing really well, and surgery is not required!

Yukon is very people friendly and loves to meet strangers. He is dog friendly and loves to play, making him a fun-loving companion for another playful pup. At just one year old, he has his whole life ahead of him and so much love and happiness waiting to be discovered.

After everything Yukon has endured, he deserves a family who will show him that people can be trusted and that home means being safe, loved, and cared for.

His past may have been rough, but Yukon is ready to start his next chapter—and we’re hoping that chapter ends with a forever family of his very own.

The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
