Looking for the sweetest melon in the garden? Meet Cantaloupea sunny, yellow-and-sweet German Shepherd/Husky mix who is ready to grow into someone's very best friend!
At just three months old, Cantaloupe is a happy, healthy, playful puppy who is settling beautifully into home life. She gets along wonderfully with adult dogs, both male and female, and loves people, children, and other animals. Though she was initially a little shy, she is coming out of her shell in leaps and bounds.
Cantaloupe is already an impressive student. She sleeps and naps in her crate, including overnight, and is doing her business outside almost every time. She has had only one intentional indoor accident, although excited piddles may happen when she first greets you. She also knows "sit" and "down," rides well in the car, handles stairs with ease, and is comfortable meeting strangers and seeing everyday distractions, including neighbours on bikes.
Like any young puppy, Cantaloupe is still working on a few things. She may plant her paws during leash walks, jumps up when excited, and is currently teething. Her family will need to supervise her closely, watch for her potty cues, and continue teaching her polite manners.
Cantaloupe is expected to grow to approximately 6075 pounds, depending on which side of her family tree wins out. She can also be protective of her food because, in her words, "she's hungry!" This is something her family should manage thoughtfully as she continues to mature.
Cantaloupe is playful, affectionate, active, and eager to learn. With her sweet personality, wonderful progress, and fabulous puppy potential, she is one delicious little packageand the perfect addition to a family ready for a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventures.
Our adoption fees cover all up to date veterinary needs, including but not limited to: full veterinary examination, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test and parasite prevention, wellness bloodwork, spay or neuter, and microchip. All dogs will be started on a 6 week trial of pet insurance after adoption.
