DESCRIPTION

Meet Arya

Arya is a sweet senior Husky on the search for her forever home. We estimate she’s around 8 years old, and she is an absolute dream to walk—calm, easygoing, and just happy to be by your side.

Arya loves spending time out in the yard where she can explore, run around, and enjoy her little adventures. She’s got that classic Husky spirit, just with a more relaxed, mature vibe.

Since being with us, Arya had to undergo eye surgery after scratching her eye, but she is now on the road to recovery and healing well! She’s been such a trooper through it all and is ready to start her next chapter with a loving family.
If you’re looking for a gentle, adventurous companion, Arya might just be your girl
Come meet her today!

By the way, Arya is spayed, microchipped, and current on all shots -- all ready for a new home.

For more information, please call Douglas County Animal Services (DCAS) at 775-782-9061. Or come meet me at the Douglas County Animal Shelter (please call first to make sure I'm still at the shelter). Click on Douglas Animal Welfare Group below for the address and directions.

ALSO A "MEET AND GREET" WILL BE REQUIRED IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER DOGS IN THE HOUSEHOLD.

ONE LAST THING! If you rent, you will be required to provide written approval from your landlord that you can have a dog. It needs to be specific, i.e. all dogs okay, no big dogs, specific breeds restricted, etc.

ABOUT: HUSKY DOG BREED

The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
