DESCRIPTION
Meet Simon!
Simon is a sweet, 1-year-old Husky mix who recently found his way into rescue and is ready to find his forever family! This handsome young guy has already shown that he does well with other dogs and would love a family who will continue helping him grow into the best dog he can be.
Simon is still learning some important everyday skills, including how to walk on a leash. Because of this, a securely fenced yard is required for his new home. He'll need a patient, committed family who understands that rescue is a journey and is willing to work with him as he builds confidence and learns new skills.
With his young age, Simon has so much potential! He's looking for someone who will give him guidance, consistency, patience, and plenty of love. In return, you'll have the opportunity to watch this wonderful pup blossom.
Simon's adoption fee is $315. Adopters must be at least 21 years old.
Ready to give Simon the loving, supportive home he deserves? Apply to adopt Simon at furkids.org.
ABOUT: HUSKY DOG BREED
The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
