DESCRIPTION
This beautiful girl loves making friends so come visit her. Dixie Ann is an 8-month-old Husky* mix weighing 35 pounds. We are told she really likes the water so she would love to have a doggy pool in the summer months. She walks well on a leash so lace up those walking shoes. Dixie loves to play with toys and can entertain herself. If you have other dogs in the home, we require a meet and greet to make sure the fit is right. We don’t know how she feels about cats but will cat test her soon. We think she would love to have a home with a fenced yard so she can run and play safely.
You can meet Dixie Ann on Saturdays from 10-2 at Dogs Forever, 809 Rockford Rd SW in Cedar Rapids. Please fill out an application using the link provided below prior to your visit so we can learn more about you and your home.

ABOUT: HUSKY DOG BREED
The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
