Meet Maple
If resilience had a face, it might look a lot like Maple.
This beautiful Husky/German Shepherd mix spent at least three weeks fending for herself in a Quincy orchard before a compassionate community member was finally able to bring her to safety. Understandably, Maple arrived exhausted, underweight, and unsure of what came next. But even after everything she's been through, she's shown us nothing but sweetness.
Now settling into foster care, Maple is catching up on something she hasn't had enough of in a long time: rest, good meals, and love. While she was initially low-energy as she decompressed, she's starting to get some pep back in her step and show us the fun-loving dog hiding underneath.
Maple is incredibly affectionate and absolutely adores attention. She loves pets, scritches, and being close to her people. She's the kind of dog who will happily soak up every bit of love you're willing to give. Sometimes she gets so excited that she'll jump up to say hello or gently use her mouth to ask for more pets. It's not aggressive at all, just an enthusiastic habit we're helping her work through, and she's already making progress. Because of this, she may do best in a home without very small children.
What stands out most about Maple is her forgiving spirit. Despite being abandoned, she still trusts people and wants nothing more than to be loved. She's a cuddler at heart, but we can also see an adventurous side emerging as she gains strength and confidence.

Maple's Ideal Home
Maple is looking for a patient, loving family willing to give her the structure, guidance, and security she's been missing. She doesn't need perfection, just someone committed to helping her continue learning and healing.
After being left behind, Maple deserves a home where she'll never have to wonder where her next meal is coming from or whether she'll be safe. She deserves a family who sees past her rough start and recognizes the wonderful dog she's becoming.
Could you be the happy ending Maple has been waiting for?
