Husky and Shepherd Dogs Available for Adoption in Richardson, Texas

Sweet Cannoli—and we mean SWEET, just like her name—is a bright-eyed, happy girl who is ready to leave her past behind and start her best life. Recently spayed after being abandoned and rescued, Cannoli will never again have to endure life in survival mode or raise unwanted puppies. Those days are officially over!



At just 12 months old and 64 pounds, Cannoli is a fun-loving, silly, and active pup who brings joy wherever she goes. She's always up for playtime, adventures, and making new dog friends. She would thrive in a home with another playful dog and a securely fenced yard where she can stretch her legs and enjoy her zoomies.



We believe Cannoli is a Husky/Shepherd mix—which means she's got those adorable ears for days and the intelligence to match! This highly sought-after mix is perfect for experienced dog owners who appreciate a smart, energetic companion. She is both house-trained and dog-door trained, making her an easy addition to the right home.

ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care. All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!

Puppies (12 months and under) - $325

Dogs (over 12 months) - $275

Qualifications for Adoption: No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.


Must be home more than not.
Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.
Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address.
Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household.
Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting.
Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet.
Must have a secure fence if in a house.
All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.
DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas.
