Meet Kaila (pronounced KYE-la) -- your future adventure buddy in a petite package!

At almost 2 years old, this Husky mix may look like she shrunk in the wash, weighing in at just 30 lbs. While she could stand to gain a couple of pounds, she's naturally small-framed and perfectly sized for someone who loves the Husky personality without the full-size commitment.

Kaila came to us when her family had to move out of the country and couldn't take her along. Despite the big life change, she's shown us what a bright, fun-loving girl she truly is. Once she warms up, Kaila is full of energy, personality, and affection. She absolutely adores ice cubes (seriously--it's her favorite treat!) and thrives in an active home where she can run, play, and be part of the action.

She gets along well with both dogs and cats, making her a great candidate for a multi-pet household. Kaila already knows "sit" and is quite the smart cookie--she even recognizes the sound of keys and will often send herself to her crate when she knows you're heading out. Because she can get a little mischievous when left alone (hello, Husky brain!), a crate is strongly recommended to give her a safe, cozy space and prevent any unwanted "redecorating."

Kaila is also great at communicating her needs--she'll gently poke you with her nose or give you an intense stare when it's time to go outside. She loves to run and explore, but her adventurous spirit means she has been known to try a great escape, so a secure yard or leash commitment is a must.

She can be a bit wary of unfamiliar men at first, so slow introductions and patience will help her feel safe and build trust. I am also unsure of car rides and the vacuum.

Kaila is looking for a home that understands her breed, embraces her energy, and is ready for a little sass, a lot of love, and plenty of ice cube runs. If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and uniquely petite Husky mix to join your life, Kaila just might be your girl.
