DESCRIPTION

This girl is the best mix of silly energy and serious snuggle skills that’ll keep you smiling all day long. If you were to ask us to try to describe Skye Blue in as short as a sentence as possible (which is not an easy task because there is so much to say) that would be what everyone would say about her. It’s the best way to describe Skye Blue. Those Ivey blue eyes? They’ll melt your heart every single time while also making you feel a burst of happiness all at the same time. They are basically little beams of sunshine that reach straight into your soul. It’s the Skye Blue effect. You can’t prevent it from happening. You can’t stop it. It just happens and it’s the absolute best. Skye Blue will zoom around like she owns the place one minute, then flop into your lap for belly rubs the next. Honestly, it’s impossible not to fall for her goofy, sweet, personality.

Skye is a Husky mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 42 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.

Skye can be a little shy at first when meeting new people but trust us when we say it does not take long for her to turn into your little shadow and lover girl. One of the ways to her heart is through treats, ear scratches, and really just quality time. Little by little, she's inching her way closer to you, politely asking for gentle pets, and next thing you know she’s nuzzling her head into you for all the love. She is the type of gal that thrives on connections with her people and once she loves and trusts you, this beauty will do anything for you. Give her a little patience in the beginning, and you'll find that you've gained your soul dog.

Skye is very dog friendly and has done great with all of the dogs we have introduced her too. She is incredibly respectful and patient with all different types of play styles and tolerant with even the pushiest of dogs. Skye is the type of dog that knows how to perfectly match the energy around her. She is so good about matching energies with other dogs. She will be relaxed if they are more relaxed and she will play hard if they play hard and she likes dogs that are capable of doing both because she doesn’t always want to play all day every day but she does like to play at the same time. One of her favorite games to play is chase and she loves to be the one doing the chasing. It’s such a joy watching her run around and having the time of her life. Just be careful when you are watching her in the middle of a game of chase because you’ll get dizzy LOL.

If you don’t have other dogs that’s fine too. She is a happy and loving girl on her own and does not need the company of another dog to help her feel comfortable and would be totally fine be your one and only. She would also do best in a home with no cats.

She also seems to really enjoy the outdoors and would make a great adventure partner, and we’re sure she would love the snow too! Skye isn’t bouncing off the walls with energy and is an easygoing girl for the most part, but she would love the mental stimulation that comes with exploring and going on an adventure. She also rides great in the car and has done well being in the car for at least an hour and a half. Hello road trips!

She not only would make a great adventure buddy but she is naturally a super smart girl and already knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and potty trained too. Skye is eager to please and will do anything for a treat. Though, if you know Huskies and have experience with the breed, you know they thrive with structure, routine, and consistency. We believe Skye would thrive with a semi-active family that has a fenced-in backyard and plenty of space for her to stretch her legs. Skye is the perfect combination of affection while also being independent. She’s not overly needy with her love nor does she ever overdo it. The best of both worlds in our opinion.

We are willing to test Skye Blue with anything you need us to in order ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
