DESCRIPTION
Meet Sweet Tea!
This good-hearted hound mix is seven years old and all 52 pounds of her are looking forward to spending her golden years with you!
Sadly, Sweet Tea came to GLDR after her owner passed away. She ended up at animal control after losing the only family she ever knew. A stressful kennel environment is the last place this senior deserves to be so let's make sure she finds a fabulous home ASAP!
Like most hounds, Sweet Tea loves to follow her nose and explore the world around her. She's very tolerant and enjoys relaxing ears scratches. She already knows how to sit and takes her treats very gently. Sweat Tea does the most adorable tippy taps when she gets excited and has an easy-going demeanor that is so enjoyable to be around. She will benefit from daily exercise, continued training, and a yard to enjoy in her new home.
Based on our evaluation, we feel Sweet Tea would do best in a home with adults or families with kids ages five and up. She may have the potential to live with other animals and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby.
If you think she could be the girl for you, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com and submit your application for our sensational Sweet Tea!
ABOUT: HOUND DOG BREED
The hound dog breed is a diverse group known for their incredible hunting abilities and keen sense of smell. These dogs are esteemed for their athleticism, endurance, and loyalty, making them excellent companions for active individuals and families alike. With a rich history of assisting hunters in tracking and trailing game, hounds possess a strong prey drive and a distinctive bay when on the hunt. Hounds come in various sizes and coat types, each with its unique characteristics, but they all share a remarkable intelligence and a friendly disposition.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
