Copper is a calm, confident, easygoing hound fellow who is just so happy to be out of the shelter and on a new adventure!
At about 40 pounds with long, velvety hound ears, he's an undeniably handsome guy - but it's his supremely gentle heart that will win you over. Copper loves to lean in for hugs and soaks up affection like he's been waiting his whole life for someone to offer it to him.
This lovely houndamuffin gets along well with the small and large dogs and human kid at his foster home - he's very agreeable with everyone! Copper also rides easily in the car and is quiet in his crate. The only exception is at dinnertime, when he can't help but let out a happy little "barooooo" or two in anticipation of his meal - proof that this guy knows how to appreciate the good things in life!
Copper doesn't seem to have spent much time on a leash and would love to get some more practice. He absolutely loves running free at the dog park, smelling the smells and relishing the freedom to roam around. He also enjoys napping upside-down in totally ludicrous positions!
Like many hounds, Copper has a powerful nose and is very curious about what delicious things might be on the counters in the kitchen! He's easy to redirect though, and tunes in to his people without being overly clingy.
Copper is one of those gems you love to pluck from the shelter - just a terrific, gentle guy who can't wait to find his forever family and settle in to life together!
