ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Pippi has done a fabulous job of raising her litter of 6 pups. She unfortunately had to deliver them in a shelter, but she and her litter came to their foster home when the babies were just a couple of days old. Pippi had been taken in to a rural shelter as a stray roaming with her mother and some other dogs, then surrendered by their owner, who had only ever let them roam freely.

Notes from the foster: Pippi is a very affectionate and playful girl once she is given the space and time to trust new people. She prefers to hang back from strangers until she feels safe. She loves playing with her foster brother and her puppies, and especially loves belly rubs and chin scratches from her people.
