ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
This pretty little calico is Serenity. She was Rescued when her Foster found her as a kitten trying to make a three-foot vertical leap into a dumpster to scavenge for food in Amman, Jordan. She was emaciated and covered in fleas and benefitted from good food and the attention of her Rescuer. Over time she has become a happy and loving little housecat.
Serenity is a ball of enthusiasm and loves to talk! She constantly chirps and meows to get her Foster's attention so that she can be petted however, like many cats, she does not like to be picked up. There is no toy that she doesn't love playing with or chasing. She gets along with her Foster cat roommates and newcomers after a proper introduction. Likely fine with older kids but dogs are unknown.
We are proud to partner with the following veterinarians who offer a free first exam for your animal, exclusively for HT adopters: Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Palisades Veterinary Clinic, Sunshine Animal Hospital and Clarendon Animal Care and all VCA Animal Hospitals. Additionally, any VCA hospital will cover illnesses up to $250 at no cost to any Homeward Trails adopter.
You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high risk shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats before they are euthanized at the shelters.
