Nickname: Mel B
Meet Melba! This big, beautiful girl is ready for a fresh start and a family to call her own. Melba is one of two sweet sisters, and while she absolutely loves her sister, they do not need to be adopted together. She is a social girl who would love having animal friends of all kinds to share her adventures with. Melba grew up on a farm and is accustomed to children, cows, donkeys, horses, barn cats, livestock guardian dogs, and even looks up to those big guardian pups as her role models. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and happiest when she can be part of the action, whether that means exploring, spending time with her animal friends, or soaking up some well-deserved cuddles. She is going to be a big girl when fully grown, but she has an equally big heart to match. She is also as calm as she is playful making her a great companion too! Melba is ready for a forever family filled with love, fun, friendship, adventure, and plenty of cuddle time.
ABOUT: HOUND DOG BREED
The hound dog breed is a diverse group known for their incredible hunting abilities and keen sense of smell. These dogs are esteemed for their athleticism, endurance, and loyalty, making them excellent companions for active individuals and families alike. With a rich history of assisting hunters in tracking and trailing game, hounds possess a strong prey drive and a distinctive bay when on the hunt. Hounds come in various sizes and coat types, each with its unique characteristics, but they all share a remarkable intelligence and a friendly disposition.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
