Meet Donald, a good-natured, clever, and adaptable boy with a gift for matching your energy. Whether you want a full day of adventures at the park or a slow Sunday on the couch, he is excellent at both and simply thrilled to be by your side.
A regular at the dog park and daycare, Donald gets rave reviews everywhere he goes for his playful, sociable energy with other dogs. He is well-mannered around food and is learning to channel his jumpy excitement about what's on your plate into a patient sit-and-wait activity, which is quite impressive self-control for a guy who is really passionate about snacks.
Donald is house trained and knows "sit," "stay," "come," and "down," and picks up new commands quickly with the right treat motivation. He knows to come trotting back to you when you call for him at the door park at the dog park. He is gaining the confidence to spend time alone, so an adopter who is retired or works from home would be a better fit. Donald used to playfully nip people when excited. While he has made tremendous progress, at the moment we think he would do best in a home without young children.
This sweet, cheerful, and attentive pup is ready to find his forever best friend and give you all the love. Apply today to meet Donald!
