Meet Tony

Tony is a 2-year-old, 50-pound hound with a gentle soul and a heart full of love - and he's truly the total package.

He's the kind of dog who just fits into your life. Tony loves being around other dogs and absolutely thrives at the dog park. He even goes to work with his foster and takes it all in stride, happily soaking up attention from everyone he meets. He's great with dogs, cats, and kids, making him an easy addition to just about any home.

Tony is also housetrained, calm, and easygoing - not a barker, not high-maintenance - just a steady, loving companion who enjoys being near his people.

Despite likely being abandoned when he didn't make it as a hunting dog, Tony has remained incredibly sweet and trusting. He's left his past behind and is ready for a fresh start filled with love, routine, and companionship.

If you're looking for a dog who is social, adaptable, and simply happy to be included in your day-to-day life, Tony is your guy. All he needs now is a home to finally call his own.

His foster says the following:

He is a sweet, not aggressive dog who defers to other dogs and plays well. He loves a stuffy toy! He comes when called, is affectionate and is happy to be petted. He is learning to live in a house with new noises and smells and rules. He listens well and knows "no" and walks well on a leash after some initial excitement. He has a funny personality with a small vocal moan when he is ready to go to sleep! He grins and has a cute way of sitting with a paw lifted up like he is waiting for someone to shake his paw!! He goes into his crate and doesn't cry or bark. He loves running and exploring the woods (in a fenced yard) and comes back to the door once he has finished roaming. Smart boy!!
