DESCRIPTION
Sorry folks, Jolene can absolutely take your man! She's a sweet, smart, 1 year old hound mix and she will love her new family, men and women alike! She truly has a wonderful temperament. She's relaxed and happy to take in the sights and scenes. Jolene is on the smaller size for a hound, weighing in at 44 pounds, and has beautifully unique markings. She's very comfortable with other dogs, curious and friendly with children, and has warmed up quickly to all the new human friends we have thrown at her!
Jolene would enjoy an active home where she can enjoy long walks, hikes, and some snuggles on the couch after a long day. She already walks well on a leash and she settles in her crate quickly. She's doing great with potty training and enjoys sniffing around the yard! She is truly the total package and she is ready to find her forever home, so please let us know if you'd like to meet her!
Jolene's adoption fee is $550
ABOUT: HOUND DOG BREED
The hound dog breed is a diverse group known for their incredible hunting abilities and keen sense of smell. These dogs are esteemed for their athleticism, endurance, and loyalty, making them excellent companions for active individuals and families alike. With a rich history of assisting hunters in tracking and trailing game, hounds possess a strong prey drive and a distinctive bay when on the hunt. Hounds come in various sizes and coat types, each with its unique characteristics, but they all share a remarkable intelligence and a friendly disposition.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
