Pixie - Havanese and Maltese Dog for Adoption in Los Angeles, California

Pixie is an adorable little Havanese/Maltese mix who's about 5 years old and weighs 14 pounds. This sweet girl was surrendered to Lancaster Shelter in horrific condition. She was matted to the skin and had nails growing into her pads. The shelter did a chop job in shaving her down, but when she grows out her coat will be stunning with that adorable gray patch over one side of her face. When we got Pixie she was very submissive and nervous but still craved attention. She would roll over on her belly asking for a pet. She loves being next to you or on your lap but is a bit uncomfortable being carried around. My guess is she didn't have a lot of socialization/physical contact. Nonetheless, Pixie is very loving and is blossoming into a more confident little girl. She bonds quickly and would thrive in a quiet household with someone who is home a lot. Pixie is not a fan of other dogs and would prefer to be the queen of the home. She is fostered right now with other dogs and while she is not aggressive, she is not happy about it. Pixie is good on a leash and is a quiet girl. She'll continue to blossom into a devoted, adoring companion with lots of love and nurturing.
