Meet Burgess... aka “Burgy.”

Burgess came from a hoarding situation, so the world is still a big, unfamiliar place to her. But in just one month in her foster home, she has already come so far. She's learning what it means to feel safe, to play, and to just be a dog and loves walks.

Her absolute favorite thing? Being outside, it's all new and she loves it. She loves it so much she'll let herself out the back door any chance she gets but don't worry, she comes back waiting at the door when she's ready to come back in.

When Burgess first arrived, she had no experience with potty training but she hasn't had a single accident yet. She's trying so hard and learning so fast. She's also now crate trained and sleeps through the night.

Burgess adores other dogs. Big or small, once she's comfortable, she wants to play and be part of the pack. Her best friends right now are a tiny 7 lb Yorkie and a 50 lb pup. Because of this, she will need a home with another dog to help her continue to blossom.

People are still scary to her especially little kids so she will need a home with no kids( or teenagers that can respect her space), she's not mean towards them but just very unsure when they move quickly.

With Burgess, less is more. Give her space, give her time, and she will come to you when she's ready... and when she does, she'll melt right into your lap (especially if you have a few snacks to share).

She did have to be shaved down due to severe matting, but her coat is already growing back in soft and silky and soon she's going to be absolutely stunning.

Burgess is looking for a patient, understanding home that will let her continue her journey at her own pace, she will take a good 2 weeks to begin to open up and trust. Watching her learn to trust and love has been something truly special... and she's just getting started

The adoption fee is $390.00. All animals are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed/neutered.
