DESCRIPTION
Meet Araya!
Araya is a beautiful 3-year-old Great Pyrenees weighing around 70 pounds, and she's as gentle as they come. This sweet girl arrived at the shelter as a stray, and while we don't know much about her past, we do know she has an incredibly kind heart.
Araya is timid and submissive, preferring a calm, peaceful environment where she can relax and feel safe. She absolutely loves attention from people and happily soaks up every pet and kind word she receives. With her gentle nature, we think she would likely do well with children who are respectful of her sweet personality.
Araya is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease, so she'll need a quiet home where she can take it easy while she heals. Heartworm treatment requires restricted activity, and a loving family willing to help her through recovery would make all the difference. Our staff will happily explain her treatment plan and answer any questions.
If you're looking for a loyal companion with a heart as big as her fluffy paws, Araya may be the perfect match. She deserves a soft place to land and a family to show her just how wonderful life can be.
Because most of our dogs come to us as strays, we cannot guarantee that they are house-trained.
