RJ - Great Pyrenees Dog for Adoption in Greer, South Carolina

Meet RJ!

At just four months old, RJ is still learning the ropes of being a dog. But one thing he’s already mastered? Being a Great Pyrenees.

RJ is dog friendly, kid friendly, and full of personality. He’s spunky, stubbornly independent, and has absolutely no problem letting you know when he disagrees with your plans.

He has opinions.

He has selective hearing.

And he’s pretty convinced he’s qualified to make all of his own decisions.

But underneath all that Pyr attitude is an incredibly smart, affectionate little guy who is learning and growing every single day.

RJ is the kind of puppy who will make you laugh, test your patience, steal your heart, and then completely ignore you when you ask him to come inside. Because, well... he’s a Great Pyrenees.

And that’s exactly why we’re looking for a family who understands the breed.

Great Pyrenees aren’t just oversized, fluffy golden retrievers. They’re livestock guardian dogs who were bred to think independently, make their own decisions, and occasionally question your authority. And trust us, that personality starts LONG before they reach 100+ pounds.

RJ doesn’t need a family who expects blind obedience. He needs one who appreciates his intelligence, understands his independence, and is willing to put in the time, patience, and consistency to help him grow into the incredible dog we know he can be.

If you love a dog with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a healthy disregard for your suggestions, RJ might just be your guy.
