Meet Peregrin Took

From the "Lord of the Rings Litter," Peregrin Took (Pippin) is a 9-week-old fluffy, playful pup with a light sable and white coat and a heart full of mischief and joy. Much like his namesake Peregrin Took, this little guy is curious, cheerful, and always ready to find adventure in the most unexpected places.

Peregrin is up for anything-playtime, exploring, or snuggling right up in your lap when he's done being busy. He loves other dogs and enjoys being part of the action, bringing a fun, social energy wherever he goes. He hasn't met cats yet, but with slow and proper introductions, we think he could adjust well. He has done well with teenagers and adults so far and may do well with children given appropriate introductions and supervision.

With a Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix dad and a Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix auntie mom, Peregrin is expected to grow into a large, sturdy dog-likely around 65-85 pounds when fully grown. He's still very much a puppy learning the basics of indoor life after being raised mostly outdoors, so he will need a patient family to help him continue building confidence, manners, and household routines.

True to his hobbit heritage, this Pippin is full of energy, curiosity, and charm. While his namesake often found himself in trouble through sheer enthusiasm, this Peregrin's "adventures" are best expressed through zoomies, toy chaos, and winning hearts everywhere he goes.

Please note that Peregrin does not come from working livestock guardian lines and would not be suitable for guarding flocks or herds.
