Great Pyrenees and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption in South Portland, Maine

MAGGIE

Great Pyrenees, Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
South Portland, Maine
May 12th
female, large, baby

DESCRIPTION

Maggie is an baby pyrenees mix with a heart as big as her personality. This little lady was surrendered to our partner shelter in Mississippi and has been an absolute delight since! She makes fast friends with everyone she meetings, including cats! Her current best friend is a cat named Althea, and the two of them play chase and romp around like they've known each other forever.

Maggie is as smart as she is sweet. She has had very few accidents in the house, is making great progress with puppy play biting, and learned quickly to respect the other dogs' space when they set boundaries.

She loves exploring the backyard, has already figured out how to climb the steps to the couch, and will happily snuggle up with you, until she gets warm, at which point she sensibly relocates herself to the cool floor. She is adventurous, responsive to correction, and an all-around easy, joyful puppy to have around.

Maggie will be making her way to New England at the end of May, and is looking for a forever family who will match her playful, loving energy.
If you have a cat, she may just already know how to be best friends with them too!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
