Lucy is a 7 year old female Great Dane and is bonded with Ava. Ava and Lucys owner recently passed away. Their story is one of the most tragic tales we've told in some time. In 2021, they were being fostered in the Big Dogs Huge Paws program and were adopted. Then in 2025 their owner passed away and they came back to the same wonderful foster home with Big Dogs Huge Paws to find a new forever home. They were adopted in the summer of 2025 and just recently, it was discovered that their most recent owner had also passed away. With all they have been through they are resting in their foster home and are the sweetest girls. They have been with other dogs in the homes they have had. Lucy is timid, needy and somewhat fearful. She is very attached to Ava and she needs encouragement as she always gives way to other dogs. It is best to monitor feeding time and stay by her to make sure she doesn't back away and give her food to Ava. She rides well in the car and likes to be taken for a spin. Lucy is good with kids and other dogs. As far as we know she may not have met a cat. If the story of Lucy and Ava pulls at your heart strings, please consider adopting these beauties and fill your home and your heart with sweetness and love.
